Killer Whales By Shotaro


Orcas or killer whales, are the largest of the dolphins.
They eat marine mammals such as seals sealions, and even whales.
They also eat fish, squid, and seabirds.
They often live in cold, coastal waters.
Orcas can be found from the polar areas to the Equator.
Killer whales hunt in deadly pods.
Whales make a wide variety of of sounds, and each group has distinctive noises that its members will recognize even from far away killer whales are protective of their young.
Mother give birth every three to ten years.
Orcas are recognizable by their black-and-white coloring and are the smart trainable stars of many aquarium shows.
